About me

I am Calvin Carter, a film musician that is a pianist, producer, and artist. My studies in music have been in both Classical in Jazz for 10 years to date since 2007. My studies are primarily self-taught, even though I have had lessons at Saint Xavier University as an Undergrad, alongside Sherwood Conservatory and Chicago State University. I began making film instrumentals and beats in the year of 2015 with a beat Maschine, an a laptop. Since then I have been studying different techniques of making, mixing, and mastering music for your enjoyment.

My influences are Frederick Chopin, Sebastian Bach, Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Bud Powell, Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, Funkadelics, Ryan Leslie, and Flying Lotus. My main goal is to be able to provide a platform not only for the listeners of Film Music, but to also to provide film-makers and musicians alike to be able to use the music provided to them through Lease Licensing or buy it through Executive Licensing. I am here to help you, yes, you, the listener, the artist, and Film Maker with your thoughts, actions and scenes with my music. With all regard, I do hope you enjoy what you hear.
